"A voice that could wake the dead" ~ BBC Scotland
A long time Edinburgher, originally from South London, with a Cumbrian Schooling! Described as a "no bullshit" artist, for a defiantly real, cards on the table way of writing, performing, loving and loathing the modern music industry! Roots fusion inspired songs, twists of jazz, Americana, folk and blues.
"There's no point in kidding anyone. Jones isn't for folks who want to swag on Instagram. She's for the ones who want to get something gritty, unpolished and whimsical, where the music is entirely about the music. You can't fake a voice like that, in the room."
Living The Note
Liz has been a performing singer-songwriter since a South London Open Mic habit became an addiction. Quitting a career, and eventually quitting part time work, now growing a place in the live music scene across intimate and indie venues across all countries in the UK, touring from her long time base in Edinburgh.
Children of all ages are welcome at this show, but please note the music is not geared towards them. I've played to audiences of all ages, and will make sure language is appropriate if any under-teens are in the room :-)
